Amblyseius andersoni in Slow-Release Sachets

The Versatile Workhorse of Mite Control

Got spider mites one week and broad mites the next? Temperatures bouncing from chilly to blazing? Andersoni doesn’t blink. (Figuratively—no eyelids.)

This sachet contains a slow-release army of Amblyseius andersoni, a highly adaptable predator that thrives where others tap out. Whether you’re growing indoors, outdoors, or somewhere in between, these mites are built to handle fluctuating conditions and a broad mix of mite problems—spider mites, broad mites, russet mites, cyclamen mites, and eriophyid mites included.

Each sachet releases all life stages—eggs, nymphs, and adults—steadily over 2–4 weeks, keeping predator pressure consistent and control ongoing.

Best For:

  • Preventative coverage or very early-stage infestations

  • Growers dealing with variable climates or mixed mite problems

  • Use in greenhouses, indoor grows, or outdoor crops where environmental control is limited

What Makes Andersoni Different?

  • Broad climate tolerance: Works in 42–100°F and 40–90% humidity

  • Slow and steady release: Life stages deploy gradually for longer coverage

  • Multi-mite control: Effective against a range of pest mites, including hard-to-target species like eriophyid mites

How to Use

  1. Hang sachets directly on plants, trellises, or stakes—1 sachet per plant or every 3 feet, depending on density

  2. Avoid placing in direct contact with irrigation or heavy misting

  3. Replace every 2–4 weeks, depending on pest pressure and environmental conditions

Safe For:

People, pets, and plants. Amblyseius andersoni has one mission: pest mites. No bites, no damage, no collateral.

Pro Tips for Success

  • For active infestations, pair with fast-acting species like Phytoseiulus persimilis for spider mites

  • Use as part of an integrated pest management (IPM) plan to keep pest pressure low over time

  • Don’t spray before or after deploying—residues can kill your predators

Shipping & Storage

  • Store in a cool place and use within 24–48 hours of arrival

Anderson sachets

My order all were dead. My 10 sachets looked like regular sachets. I called Tip Top and left message but they never responded

Hi Wilma,

Sorry to hear that. I don't know what 'regular sachets' means, but if you reach out to us we'll be happy to help you figure out what to look for. Our email is info@fgmnnursery.com. In the meantime, the sachets are filled with all life stages, and are tinier than the media we ship them in -- which means that you probably won't see anything except the media we ship the mites in. The sachets are meant to work over approximately 30 days. Even once they grow up, not everyone has good enough eyesight to see the mites (Karen, for instance, can't see them at all, I will see a few!)

As long as the shipping wasn't delayed more than a day-- I'm confident your sachets are indeed good. But reach out and we'll be able to help more including replacing them if you're super confident they're dead.
