This isn’t just a Florida hybrid—it’s one with something to say.
Philodendron ‘Florida Beauty’ is a variegated cultivar of Philodendron ‘Florida’, itself a hybrid between Philodendron squamiferum and Philodendron pedatum. The Beauty form adds chimeric variegation—expressing cream, lime, or pale yellow streaks that range from delicate marbling to full-leaf splash events. Unlike tissue-culture-produced variegates, ‘Florida Beauty’ is propagated only by cuttings due to its unstable genetics and tendency to revert under poor conditions.
The leaf shape is deeply lobed and highly fenestrated, thanks to P. pedatum’s influence, while the signature red petioles and subtle fuzz nod to P. squamiferum. With proper care, it climbs readily and puts out larger, more dramatic leaves over time.
We offer two options:
-
Exact Plant — The one shown is the one shipped, already rooted in aroid mix and ready to grow.
-
Grower’s Choice — A rooted, healthy plant from the same genetic line with visible variegation.
Shipping Note:
All plants are carefully packaged for transit, but minor cosmetic issues are common in live plant shipping. Leaves may arrive with slight yellowing, browning at the edges, or small tears due to pressure, temperature variation, or time in darkness. These do not impact plant health and are not considered damage. Soil may shift in the pot during shipment. All plants ship well-rooted and stable, with no signs of active disease or rot at the time of packing. Cosmetic wear in transit does not qualify for refund or replacement.
