You don’t need perfect conditions. You need Andersoni.

Amblyseius andersoni Bottles

Fast-Acting Predatory Mites for Mixed Mite Infestations in Unpredictable Environments

When nothing else can keep up, Amblyseius andersoni can.

These tough, fast-moving predatory mites thrive in fluctuating climates and knock down a wide range of soft-bodied mite pests. They arrive as adults only—no eggs, no wait time—ready to hunt on contact.

Andersoni is ideal for growers dealing with:

  • Temperature swings

  • Humidity changes

  • Multiple mite species active at once

This was my first time buying bugs

This was my first time buying bugs. I used their find a bug search which had me put it the type of infestation and the type of environment the crop is in. They pointed me to the bugs I needed and shipped out the following day. The bugs showed up in the morning next day deliver for the predatory mites. There was a mix up on the amount of mites they sent, sent out they missing containers the next day.
It’s been a few days and the predatory mites have laid a beat down on the two spotted spider mites and should save me from having to spray anything while I flower.
I will be returning every season. They even have bugs to get after caterpillar.

I cant tell

I honestly can't tell because it seems like the spider mite damage continues . My humidity is very high when the lights are on so maybe it decreased the ipm mites.

Hi! When you say 'very high humidity' how high is that? Andersonii performs best 40%-80%, with 80% being the highest they will tolerate. Is it possible your humidity is too high?

No luck so far

I purchased a $60 package of carnivorous mites. I applied them as directed after calling the company to be sure it was ok to release them in drizzle. They said yes. The ref spider mites are still everywhere. Next comes the heavy duty pesticide, I guess. 😳

Hi! Oh no! It is okay to release them in the rain -- heck, we've had people release them and have a tornado come through and they stayed put. This all leads me to believe something bigger is happening. Did you apply pesticides within 2 weeks of your mites? Are you sure you bought enough for your situation? Andersoni tend to survive anything, but are you still having ultra cold nights? Please feel free to reach out to our team at info@fgmnnursery.com and we'll be happy to help.
