Royal by name. Wildly inconsistent by design.

Philodendron ‘Pink Princess’ is a climbing hybrid known for its deep, chocolate-toned foliage layered with blush-pink to neon rose variegation—caused by a chimeric mutation in the apical meristem. The pink zones come from anthocyanin pigments expressed without chlorophyll, which gives them their vivid color and natural fragility.

Each leaf is genetically unique. Some develop bold pink sectors or half-moon patterns, while others show marbling, veining, or speckling. As the plant matures, it tends to stabilize in tone—but no two leaves will ever be identical, and that’s exactly the appeal.

Structurally, Pink Princess is a climber with thick petioles, compact internodes, and heart-shaped foliage. It can be trained vertically or kept bushier with pruning. Either way, this plant holds its form and impact—even at a smaller size.

Philodendron ‘Pink Princess’ Care Overview

Requirement Details
Light Bright, indirect light. Essential for maintaining pink expression.
Humidity 60–80%. Higher humidity supports larger, cleaner pink zones.
Watering Water when the top 1–2" of soil dries out. Avoid oversaturation.
Substrate Well-draining aroid mix: peat, perlite, bark, and pumice.
Temperature 65–85°F. Keep warm and consistent.
Feeding Monthly during active growth. Avoid high-nitrogen fertilizers.
Growth Habit Climber. Can trail, vine, or be pruned into a bushier form.
Pests to Watch Spider mites and thrips. Pink tissue is more delicate—inspect regularly.

Shipping Note:
All Pink Princess plants ship rooted in soil and are packed carefully to preserve foliage. Due to the low-chlorophyll pink zones, minor cosmetic wear (edge crisping or fading) may occur during transit. This is normal and will not affect root health or future growth. Each plant ships clean, stable, and ready to thrive.
