Photosynthesis is optional. Looking good is not.
Syngonium ‘Moonshine White’ is a highly variegated form of Syngonium podophyllum, selected for its extreme hypopigmentation and creamy white-to-mint foliage. While some plants offer speckled or patchy variegation, this one often produces near-white leaves with only faint green veining and margin tone. It’s a bold aesthetic choice—and a biologically interesting one.
The lack of chlorophyll is the result of a chimeric mutation, where meristematic cell layers carry different pigment profiles. This creates high-contrast leaves that photosynthesize less efficiently, meaning Moonshine White thrives best in bright, indirect light with stable humidity and warmth.
Juvenile leaves emerge narrow and arrow-shaped, staying compact with tight internodal spacing. Over time, it may begin to vine—though most growers keep it trimmed to maintain its bushy, ultra-pale profile.

Shipping Note:
All Syngonium ‘Moonshine White’ plants ship rooted in soil and are packaged to arrive healthy and growing. Due to the thin, chlorophyll-light leaves, some minor cosmetic wear may occur during shipping—including edge crisping or temporary fading. These are superficial and won’t affect root health or new growth. You’ll receive a clean, stable plant that will continue to push new color once settled in.
