Pink, white, and mint — in full disorder.

Syngonium ‘Milk Confetti Tricolor’ is a variegated form of Syngonium podophyllum that expresses three distinct pigment zones: bright pink flecking, creamy white base coloration, and soft mint-to-light-green margins. The result is wildly inconsistent in the best way—some leaves go heavy on the pink, others lean nearly white, and some emerge looking dipped in watercolor.

The tricolor expression is caused by chimeric mutation, where different cell layers carry distinct pigment activity—primarily affecting chloroplast density and anthocyanin expression. Unlike stable, patterned variegation, Tricolor expression varies dramatically by light, age, and genetics. It’s unpredictable, and that’s why collectors chase it.

Juvenile leaves are arrow-shaped and compact, but as with other Syngonium podophyllum, the plant may begin to vine and elongate over time. This isn’t a shapeshifter—it’s a color-focused foliage vine that plays best in bright, indirect light and stable humidity.

We offer the following formats:

  • Exact Plant – 4" Pot
The exact plant in the photos. Rooted, stable, and already showing strong tricolor variegation.

  • Grower’s Choice – 4" Pot
A fully rooted plant from our tricolor stock. All selections show visible pink, white, and green, though balance and intensity will vary leaf to leaf.

  • Grower’s Choice – 2.5" Pot
A younger plant with established roots and emerging tricolor expression. Fewer leaves, smaller size, but same collector-grade genetics.

Syngonium ‘Milk Confetti Tricolor’ Care Overview

Requirement Details
Light Bright, indirect light. Too little = less pink. Too much = leaf stress.
Humidity 60–80% preferred. Higher humidity supports more saturated expression.
Watering Water when top 1–2” of soil dries. Do not allow roots to sit in water.
Substrate Aroid mix with peat, perlite, bark, and pumice.
Temperature 65–85°F. Keep away from cold drafts.
Feeding Monthly with a balanced fertilizer. Go easy on nitrogen.
Growth Habit Compact vine. Trails or climbs if supported.
Pests to Watch Spider mites and thrips. Clean leaves and inspect undersides regularly.

Shipping Note:
All Syngonium ‘Milk Confetti Tricolor’ plants ship fully rooted in soil and are carefully packed to ensure they arrive healthy and growing. Because the leaves are thin and highly variegated, some cosmetic blemishes may appear in transit—like slight edge crisping or fading on older leaves. That’s normal for tricolor plants and won’t affect long-term growth. You’ll still receive a beautiful, healthy plant with strong roots, ready to keep pushing new color as soon as it settles in.
