AfterShip Protection provides shipping insurance to prevent your loss when the order is Lost/ Damaged/ Porch pirates.

Our Live Delivery Guarantee

We stand behind every leaf and every mite. If your plant or predatory insects don’t arrive alive on the first delivery attempt, we’ll make it right.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Email us at info@fgmnnursery.com within 24 hours of delivery
  • Include clear photos of the item and the shipping label
  • Someone must be available to receive the package—plants and bugs don’t do well sitting in the sun, a mailbox, or the back of a delivery truck

For plants, we offer store credit if something goes wrong.

For predatory mites and beneficial insects, you’ll have the choice of a replacement shipment or store credit.

If you contact us after the 24-hour window, we may still be able to help—just know it’s handled case by case.

We pack with care, insulate when needed, and check the weather before shipping. But once it’s in transit, the fastest way to protect your order is to open it right away.

Ladybugs arrived perfectly

All ladybugs arrived alive and ready to go. They began munching on aphids immediately. They even began breeding right away. Definitely will order again. Couldn't ask for any better quality.

Well, I thought they would help get rid of my 🐜. I have not noticed any difference. I purchased the triple threat. This variety was supposed to be good for fleas ants and flies is what I had heard. I guess it's still too early to tell but I still have flies and ants for sure.

Larvae arrived dead - shipping protection was a ****

My larvae arrived dead after a shipping delay. The ice pack was warm. Customer service was no help. Despite my larvae clearly being dead and not moving on white paper they said it should be fine it was only a single day delay. Tried letting it go about a week to see if any significant amount survived, but the aphids got worse.

Re ordered from gardening zone, my larvae arrived alive and the aphids were killed off in one weekend.

I submitted a claim on the shipping insurance since my product arrived defective, they denied the claim.

Don’t order from here. I have no faith in them to do what is right.

Hi Andrew, thanks for the feedback, and we’re sorry your experience didn’t go the way you hoped. One clarification that may help others reading: Shipping Protection covers shipping-related issues — carrier delays, loss, or damage in transit — rather than the biological condition or outcome of live insects once delivered. Those are handled separately under our live-arrival guarantee, which has its own reporting window. That’s why a claim about the product itself falls outside what the shipping coverage is designed for, even when the two feel connected. We’re always glad to talk through the right product fit and handling for your setup — feel free to reach us at info@fgmnnursery.com.

It was fine. Had no problems. Feels a bit like an added surcharge to have to get this “protection.”

It was so small for how much i paid for the mite. I thought it was going to be bigger than a 3 inc tube with 2 tbsp of substrate and mites…

Hi! Great opportunity to share something most people don’t know: predatory mites are microscopic — most species are under 0.5mm — so even tens of thousands of them barely register visually. The tube size is really a function of how much carrier substrate is included, not the predator count itself.

A few suppliers may choose to add extra vermiculite or bran to make packages feel more substantial, but that filler can harbor grain mites and other hitchhikers, and it doesn’t change how many predators you actually received. In fact, it often dilutes the number you deploy on each plant— leading to lower effectiveness. We stand by the count on the label, and even add in another 20% just in case some die.

If you want any more information about them, give us a shout!

Excellent condition!

The ladybugs arrived quickly and very well maintained of the 300 only about 5 were not alive. The rest were in excellent condition and immediately started eating the Aphids.
