Spider mitesNew growth on every Hoya
Pest: spider mites · Plants: Hoya, indoors · Used: Neoseiulus californicus
“I'm happy to report I'm finally seeing new growth on all of my Hoya.”
Read Ellen’s full review
I was having issues with my Hoya collection not producing any new growth for months. I finally purchased a microscope and found 10 plants covered in spider mites. Last year I dealt with aphids chemically and did not want to repeat that nightmare so I decided to try beneficials. FGMN has been incredible with their customer service. They answered all of my questions, studied my scope photos, guided me through the process and honestly, treated me like a friend in crisis when my frustration nearly got the best of me. Beneficials have always arrived active and ready to do battle, and I'm happy to report I'm finally seeing new growth on all of my Hoya. A PSA for those who've not used beneficials before: it takes time and a good deal of patience when working with them. The best thing you can do is just apply and then leave them to do their business. It took weeks before I saw any improvement, but it was better than dealing with chemicals and spraying each plant from top to bottom over and over again; I'm done with that. This is the way to go for me from now on, and this is the only company I'll use.

AphidsA rose bush gets its aphids under control
Pest: aphids · Plant: rose, outdoors · Used: Ladybugs
I wish I would have known about this place sooner! I have a rose bush that has been on the property for at least 30 years from my understanding. Maybe more. The aphids got it this year and were out of control. Thousands of aphids covering almost every inch of the rose bush and spreading to other plants.

I bought the ladybugs. 800 of them. I placed the container deep in the middle of the bush. Yes some flew away. But most of them stayed. The lady bugs almost completely wiped out the aphids in just a few days. I might have to buy one more package, but they definitely are handling business. Fast shipping, the bugs came alive and well. Definitely buying from here again.

Spider mitesLess webbing by the weekend
Pest: spider mites · Plants: milkweed, outdoors · Used: Spider Mite Rapid Response, then Ultimate Control Predatory Mite Mix
I had a pretty bad infestation of spider mites and other pesties unknown in our outdoor milkweed and pollinator garden. The new homies arrived on a Thursday and I disbursed them that evening. By the end of the weekend, the spider mite webbing activity had largely stopped. I'm back to order some followup friends to keep it under control as it's my first season using predatory mites and I probably didn't order enough for the space I need them in, but I'm a big fan and will be adding preventive sachets to my spring planning for the future.

ThripsNew leaves across 100+ houseplants
Pest: thrips · Plants: 100+ houseplants · Used: predatory mites in containers, plus Special Blend sachets
This is my second round with these little pest army pouches and I've been thrilled! I have over 100 hours plants and nearly losing some of my favorites to thrips was the push I needed to give predatory mites a try. I use a combo of the containers and these specialist sachets to deal with existing issues while preventing future ones.

Importantly - it's not icky! I thought it would be and it's not. New beautiful leaves and an overall happy collection has been the proof I needed. And I don't have to worry about spraying three types of nasty chemicals all around my living space! I highly recommend. Protect the plants you want to keep!!

Thrips + aphidsGladiolus and roses recover
Pests: thrips and aphids · Plants: gladiolus and roses, outdoors · Used: Green Lacewing Larvae
I am SO pleased with my purchase. My gladiolus and roses have been plagued by thrips and aphids the past few years. I'd tried a bunch of other home remedies to get them gone, but nothing really worked. Two orders of the lacewings, and not a thrip or aphid to be seen, and my glads are finally coming up healthy!

AphidsThe ladybugs nobody saw working
Pest: aphids · Plant: honeysuckle, outdoors · Used: Ladybugs
So, we had a huge aphid problem on our honeysuckle. I ordered 300 ladybugs, and when they arrived, I watered our vines at dusk, and released the ladybugs per instructions. And then the next day, there were no signs of ladybugs. Couldn't figure it out - there's a freaking aphid buffet here! Why don't we see any ladybugs eating them?

And then after a bit, there were two or three little ladybug alligator larvae crawling around on the honeysuckle. And then, no aphids. I don't see any ladybugs now, or larvae. But I also don't see any aphids. So... didn't see the thing happening, but apparently, it happened. No aphids now. Money well spent, and I didn't have to use chemicals. Godspeed, ladybugs, wherever you may be.

Spider mitesSpider mites knocked back in flower
Pest: two-spotted spider mites · Plants: a crop in flower · Used: Amblyseius andersoni
This was my first time buying bugs. I used their find a bug search which had me put it the type of infestation and the type of environment the crop is in. They pointed me to the bugs I needed and shipped out the following day. The bugs showed up in the morning next day deliver for the predatory mites.

There was a mix up on the amount of mites they sent, sent out they missing containers the next day. It's been a few days and the predatory mites have laid a beat down on the two spotted spider mites and should save me from having to spray anything while I flower. I will be returning every season. They even have bugs to get after caterpillar.

Spider mitesClean new leaves on the palms
Pest: spider mites · Plants: palms and a mixed collection · Used: Special Blend Predatory Mite Mix
My plants look so much healthier since I deployed the mites! The spider mites have noticeably decreased in my palms, which are already starting to bounce back from the infestation. Its new leaves look green and pest-free. My other plants (not affected by the spider mite infestation) look greener and noticeably happier as well! Couldn't recommend this product enough!

ThripsNo thrips found on indoor strawberries
Pest: thrips · Plants: strawberries, indoors · Used: Amblyseius swirskii
So far so good! Spotted thrips on my indoor strawberry garden and did a knock down using sprays while I waited to receive these little guys. They shipped pretty fast and then I let them loose. It's been a couple weeks now... and no thrips (that I can find)! These swirskii guys are def. small and hard to see... but I've seen 1 or 2 now over the last 2 weeks so I know they were in there. Seems to be working!
